Going To the Dentist

Hello lie back and relax
Through gritted teeth I try
Ok open wide
Please don't let me die?

Your tooth has to come out
OH great I smile to myself
Stay strong It will soon be over
Just think about your health

The needles don't bother me
In fact they never will
But what really bothers me
Is how LOUD is that bloody drill???

Just a few stitches and almost done
Your mouth will be sore for a while
Thirty quid later I'm out the door
Thank god I still have my smile!!!

  1. This poem is really funny! And it is how we all feel when going to the dentist. That drill is really annoying though. XD

  2. Hm, indeed. The best way to deal with the dentist (when you feel nervous around them) is to focus on something else. Unfortunately, the sound of the drill can pull one back to reality, no? It's not fun, but at the very least, the tooth would be fixed thanks to that drill.

  3. A poem's no walk in the park, so congrats for that one piece! I hope, in the future, you get to have more peaceful visits with the dentist. Maybe showing this would give our good dentists something to think about.
